With a proud Scottish heritage as immigrants to Australia in 1989 we named this wine in honour of a Scottish Poet known as a ‘Makar’ the creator of beauty, rhythm, emotion and balance.
Single vineyard, McLaren Vale and McLaren Flat are separated at Foggo Rd the home to these sandy soils that produce this wine.
Open fermenters with 50% whole bunch and a cool 3-day cold soak prior to fermentation.

Grenache 100% Single Vineyard
Maturation was 24 months in 25% new French oak and 75% in 2-3 year old French oak.
McLaren Vale 100%
Vibrant brick red.
Red berry confectionary with hints of nutmeg spice wrapped in dry herb earthiness.
The palate displays a stylishness finesse harnessing the whole bunch fermentation character and a stunningly smooth and rounded finish.
